The Murphy LASIK Surgery Center in Texas With Expertise
Until the last 15 years, Murphy was a very small town, with only a few thousand residents despite its close proximity to Dallas. Today, the town has joined the rest of the Metroplex with high levels of growth, with its population edging up toward 20,000. Murphy continues to value rural living, but its residents also have access to more modern services like LASIK eye surgery. LASIK eye surgery is a safe way to bring Murphy’s quaint country offerings into better focus, and it is available at the many eye care centers around the Metroplex.
In its very early years, Murphy developed along with the rest of North Texas, emerging as a shipping point for farmers and cattle drivers. As Dallas and its surrounding towns developed in the middle of the 20th century, Murphy actually shrunk in size. By 1961, Murphy had just 135 residents.
The construction of the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport in 1974 changed much of the local region, and Murphy was no exception. As businesses started to open in nearby towns like Plano, Murphy became a commuter town, offering country homes for big-city workers.
The population leveled off until the Bush Tollway opened in 1999, offering better access to the city from Murphy. That has led to an increase in population from about 6,500 in 2002 to its current figure.
Residents of Murphy still appreciate country life, but they also have easy access to LASIK eye surgery and other modern services. LASIK eye surgery may not seem to fit the bill of country living, but laser vision correction can certainly bring Murphy into much better clarity.
