Little Elm is tucked away on the far side of Lewisville Lake, but the rapid development of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex was bound to make its way around the lake eventually. It started to hit in the late 1990s, and the result was incredible growth for Little Elm in the 2000s: A population of about 4,000 in 2000 increased by more than six times to 26,000 people in 2010.

A lot of factors have driven development for Little Elm over the past decade-plus, including rising home prices and cost of living increases in the surrounding towns like Frisco and The Colony. Suburban development has been the driving factor behind the population increase, as people come to Little Elm for its combination of comfortable living and access to urban offerings like LASIK eye surgery. Laser eye surgery can do wonders to help residents of Little Elm see their town more clearly, especially important because of Little Elm’s location on the shore of Lewisville Lake.

The Lewisville Lake provides Little Elm residents with plenty of access to the great outdoors, as the lake spans almost 30,000 acres with over 200 miles of shoreline trails. Little Elm also oversees a couple of small parks along the lake, including Little Elm Park and Narrow Lake Park.

One of the most appealing aspects of the Little Elm community is its close proximity to both the natural resources of the lake (which was actually created by the Army Corps of Engineers) and the urban offerings of Dallas. LASIK eye surgery is just a short drive away, and it is a safe and effective way to address blurry vision. Call your local eye care center to find out more about LASIK eye surgery can help you.
